    The Profile

Introducing our Christmas coffee for 2024, Los Angeles from El Salvador.

This coffee is deliciously festive with a well rounded profile. Notes of sweet marzipan are carried on a creamy chocolate body alongside flavours of dried fruit that provide a delicate and complimentary acidity. Theres a noticeable hint sweet cinnamon spice running through the coffee, making it ideal for Christmas.

This coffee is the perfect gift, it should be enjoyed by everyone and it's roasted as an omni to suit all brew methods.

    The Producers

    The Producers

Finca Los Angeles is a picturesque farm in El Salvador’s Ahuachapán mountains, exclusively planted with Pacamara coffee. It is part of the Los Naranjos group, led by agronomy expert Sigfredo Corado, and a key participant in the Renacer Program, which educates local producers on sustainable farming practices.

The program includes a technical coffee field school at Finca Noruega, with bi-monthly classes and six field technicians assisting small to medium producers. The curriculum emphasizes soil health through the "4 R's" framework: Right Source, Right Dose, Right Place, and Right Moment.

Finca Los Angeles spans 23 manzanas, each with around 3,000 trees, and features shade trees and wind barriers for protection. Coffee is selectively harvested and processed at Beneficio San Rafael, where Pacamara beans are washed, floated, and sun-dried on beds for 22–25 days, ensuring exceptional quality.

    • Wholesale

We are always looking to work with likeminded businesses to serve our coffee.

If you're interested in serving this locally roasted Edinburgh coffee as your main offering, a guest appearance or as bags of retail, get in touch with us on roastery@machina-coffee.co.uk or call (0131) 656 9565.

    • Roasting Schedule

Your coffee will be roasted within 1-16 days of purchase, with a shelf life of 6 weeks (optimum serving point at 12-36 days old). We recommend letting this coffee rest for at least 12 days before using, in order to release excess gas which can impact the flavour of your cup.

If you would like your coffee fresh, please leave a note with your order and we will do our best to accommodate.
