SHIPPING DAYS & CUT OFF TIMES

Our warehouse ships items 5 days per week on Monday - Friday.  This excludes weekends and all bank and festive holidays (local and national). If weekend delivery is essential for you, you must call us and request this as we currently do not offer this service via the website.

If you place your order before 1pm Mon-Thurs, your service will be Royal Mail 48, Parcelforce 48 or DHL Premium. If you place your orders on a Friday after 1pm, this will be classed as a Monday order. Please note:  Next day services are not guaranteed due to third party services.

    TIMING

Orders usually take between 1-2 days within the UK. However, depending on the current number of unfulfilled orders, orders may take up to 3 days to get to you.

If you are buying a domestic espresso machine and/or grinder, shipping can take around 2-3 days longer, as we require an extra day to bench test your equipment to ensure it is functioning 100% correctly and avoiding any unwanted performance issues when your item arrives.

    INSURANCE

All products are shipped with insurance (This excludes parcels shipped with Royal Mail, due to their lower value). This cost is included in your shipping costs. If there is any issue with your purchase, we will resolve the insurance claim for you and either refund you, or ship you a replacement product.

Shipping higher value items is always done with couriers that provide full insurance without limits. For example: we always ship espresso machines, grinders, premium scales and kettles using DHL Premium.

    Questions?

If you are unsure about anything, please contact us to check before placing an order - we will be happy to discuss any queries and provide you with the best quote we can offer. If you require faster shipping, we can provide alternative services, but can only do so over the phone or via email, not on the website.

Further details of our shipping services are detailed below.

    UK SHIPPING

For items weighing up to 2KG, we ship with Royal Mail. If you have purchased an item with free shipping (0-2KG), your service will be on a 48 hr service. If you have paid for your shipping or you have received free shipping due to your order value being over a certain point, your service will be on our standard 24 hr service.

Some Royal Mail shipped items, such as subscription coffee (250g) are able to be posted through a letter box, while most others require to be either left outside your location, or handed to you in person.  If you miss your delivery, you may be required to collect it from a local depot, as they will not re-attempt to deliver the item.

For items weighing 2.01-30KG in the UK we use Parcelforce & DHL. We offer standard next day delivery service to most UK mainland destinations, but there are some exceptions. This service looks to deliver next day, but depending on volumes, can take up to 3 days.

For items over 30KG, including multiple boxes of cups and / or glasses and all espresso machines, we always ship via pallet, which vastly reduces the potential for damages. Each pallet is wrapped in cling wrap and fixed in place with tight strapping to ensure zero movement whilst in transit.

    Pallet Shipments

For items over 30KG, including multiple boxes of cups and / or glasses and all espresso machines, we always ship via pallet. If you require your item to be shipped via pallet, due to the nature of our system, you will be given a selection of rates to choose from based on your location in the UK rather than a recommended cost. Please make sure you select the right rate as part of this process based on where you live. If we believe you have selected the wrong rate option, we will contact you to clarify to ensure we have the correct information before shipping.

    Offshore and Highlands and Islands:

We ship to the Scottish Highlands / Islands and Channel Islands etc using Royal Mail, Parcelforce & DHL, which have a separate set of rates to UK mainland.  Please ensure you select the correct option when purchasing.

The latest espresso machine innovation from Marzocco...

The latest espresso machine innovation from Marzocco...

The Strada has long been seen as the ultimate in pro espresso machines, providing features for businesses looking to push the boundaries of espresso extraction through control and precise variable change.

The Strada X gathers all the best features form the Marzocco range, then adds some new impressive tech, that push it to the next level.

What was previously considered a machine for coffee roasters is now in a format that can deliver exceptional results in a cafe setting aiming for very high standards.

Mass based profiling - Tying pressure profiles to a target weight managed by a predictive mass algorithm.

Smart saturation - Automated pre-infusion, ensuring the puck fully saturated before the pump is engaged.

Saturated & exposed groups - fully on view groups which adds to the overall feel of the machine and space.

Paddle-based profile control - Real-time pressure ramping into the software, shows how a newly created profile runs as a shot is pulled in Manual mode.

Manual, profile, and AV modes - Create pressure curves manually, save them to repeatable profiles, or set a custom pressure and target weight in AV mode.

PID pressure control - Create unique pressure curves with the knowledge that profiles are tuned by a PID relay system.

      • Introduction

        What is the Strada X?

The Strada X represents the best of La Marzocco’s pioneering espresso engineering in its easiest-to-use machine ever. With predictive mass-based profiling tied to drip tray scales, straight-in portafilters, and independent group pumps, the Strada X combines industry-leading espresso technology with an all-new software system and Smart Saturation to ensure every shot pulled is exactly how the barista imagined it.

For more detailed information, click on the following 2 TABS.

How does it differ from previous versions?

Just like previous Strada models, it is designed to offer a very specious / open work area, with long steam wands and big drip tray to cater for in-house and larger takeaway drinks. Besides the physical design, La Marzocco have essentially take all the best features from their catalogue of machines and integrated them into this model, so you get dual boiler technology, dual PID, recordable extraction programs, adjustable water temp on the tap and of course, front loading portafilters (from the Kb90).

      • Who is this machine right for?

UNIQUE AESTHETIC / PRECISION / EXPERIMENTATION

The La Marzocco Strada X is a machine designed for speciality coffee locations or roasteries, looking for a machine that not only looks incredible, but can offer a range of features that leaves nothing left addressed. From it's wide open work area optimising workflow, to it's ability to work across manual / automatic and profile recording modes, it's the ultimate machine for those who want total control.

The Strada X captures why La Marzocco machines are considered the best in the world, and in this case, combining the most cutting edge technology with a unique futuristic design.

      • New features

As well as combining all of the above features from their range, they have also added 4 new features that are serious game changers for those within speciality coffee.

        Smart saturation:

The Strada X offers unparalleled consistency due to its Smart Saturation feature. Instead of pre-infusing coffee manually or with a timer, the Strada X automatically saturates the espresso puck at a low pressure set by a pump that feeds consistent pressure into the machine.

The barista will no longer need to guess when their coffee has reached its saturation point; instead, the Strada X uses data from internal flow meters to sense the exact moment it should increase the pressure. Because the coffee is thoroughly wetted to the exact same amount every time, espresso profiles have a repeatable flow rate that achieves the same beverage weight at the same time until the grind size is changed.

No matter how unique or inventive the espresso profile is, Smart Saturation ensures that every shot pulled is exactly what the barista intended.

        Pressure profiling:

In 2009, the Strada EP pioneered variable-pressure espresso profiles, and now the Strada X has perfected them.

Along with an independent boiler, each group head has its own variable-pressure motorised pump. Like the Strada EP, the Strada X can run three profiles simultaneously at different pressures without affecting espresso quality.

The difference comes from the Strada X’s Smart Saturation feature, alongside updated programming software. The Strada X operates with algorithmically generated pressure modelling using data collected from thousands of espresso shots to gently increase or decrease pressure. Even if the barista were to run the paddle from 0 to 12 bars of pressure in the space of two seconds, the Strada X would map out the transition in a way that protects the integrity of the espresso puck.

While the barista still has full control to set custom profiles, the Strada X guarantees that even the most adventurous pressure curves can evenly extract repeatable shots of espresso.

        Mass based profiling:

The Strada X maps new profiles based on pressure and beverage weight, adding a new layer of consistency to boundary-pushing espresso. With independent variable pressure motors for each group head, the barista can set pressure profiles to bring out coffee flavors unachievable on other espresso machines.

By tying that variable pressure to a target beverage weight, the Strada X ensures that, while the flavors are unique, your results are not. Paired with Smart Saturation, Mass Based Profiling means even the most adventurous espresso is repeatable for every single customer.

Mass Based Profiling also frees the barista up to focus on grinder adjustments to experiment with shot time, limiting the number of variables they would have to juggle while dialing in.

With beverage mass as a constant, shot time now becomes the main variable for the barista to adjust to experiment with coffee quality.

      • Full features overview

        Paddle-based profile control:
A redesigned paddle ensures that the Strada X automatically tunes your pressure inputs into a profile that won’t damage the puck and result in channeling. By programming real-time pressure ramping into the software, baristas can see exactly how their newly created profile runs as they’re pulling a shot in Manual mode.

        Straight-in portafilters:
Straight-in portafilters increase speed while reducing the strain on baristas and being gentler on espresso pucks. Combined with an auto steam flush for streamlined workflow and cleaner group heads, straight-in portafilters are a complete reimagining of the most repeated task in espresso preparation.

        Independent boilers:
Group head specific boilers allow for simultaneous custom brew temperatures while a separate steam boiler delivers on-demand steam pressure.

        Independent pumps:
An external pump provides stable pressure for Smart Saturation while group head specific pumps can run unique simultaneous pressure profiles.

        PID temperature control:
Set independent temperatures for each grouphead and steam boiler accurate to 0.1 degrees Fahrenheit.

        PID pressure control:
Create unique pressure curves with the knowledge that profiles are tuned by a PID relay system.

        Saturated groups:
Ensure unsurpassed thermal stability, shot after shot.

        Manual, profile, and AV modes:
Create pressure curves manually, save them to repeatable profiles, or set a custom pressure and target weight in AV mode to optimise your workflow.

        Steam flush:
Automatically cleans your group head between shots to increase barista speed.

        Drip tray scales:
Pair the extremely accurate Drip Prediction algorithm with pressure profiles to deliver unprecedented shot consistency.

        Pro touch steam wands:
High performing steam wands that are cool to the touch.

        Hot water economiser:
Enables you to fine-tune the tap water temperature for rinsing.

        Expansive drip tray:
Increases a barista’s work space with extra room to stage cups and cleaning cloths.
