    The Profile

    The Profile

Tinshe Guye is a delightfully peachy Ethiopian single estate coffee.

Big and juicy to start, its most prominent note is peach. The cup then mellows as it cools, bringing the light floral notes of elderflower and jasmine forward. It manages to be both bold in flavour with its fruity floral notes, while still being on the right side of tea-like and delicate.

The complexity of its taste profile, transitioning from vibrant and fruity to subtly floral, ensures a unique and refreshing experience with each sip. It's a standout choice, perfect for any environment Whether brewed hot or served iced, Tinshe Guye is sure to be a favourite this summer.

    The Producer

    The Producer

Tinshe Guye is a single estate Ethiopian. It’s grown by Tinshe Guye, a young woman farmer located in the village of Chelchelie in Gedeb, close to Yirgacheffe.

It’s not that common to find Ethiopian speciality coffee lots that come from one specific farm because the vast majority comes from smallholder producers that are organised into cooperatives. There’s nothing wrong with that: we’re big champions of regional lots and smallholder producers. But every once in a while it’s super interesting to get a coffee that’s traceable back to one single farm.

It’s a modest farm nonetheless, a mere 0.4 hectares, cultivating sub varieties Kumie, Diga and Wilsho under shade of Acacia and Sudan Teak.

    • Wholesale

We are always looking to work with likeminded businesses to serve our coffee.

If you're interested in serving this locally roasted Edinburgh coffee as your main offering, a guest appearance or as bags of retail, get in touch with us on roastery@machina-coffee.co.uk or call (0131) 656 9565.

    • Roasting Schedule

Your coffee will be roasted within 1-16 days of purchase, with a shelf life of 6 weeks (optimum serving point at 12-36 days old). We recommend letting this coffee rest for at least 12 days before using, in order to release excess gas which can impact the flavour of your cup.

If you would like your coffee fresh, please leave a note with your order and we will do our best to accommodate.
