    The Coffee

    The Coffee

Full of rich chocolate flavour (think somewhere between milk and dark) and sweet juicy sultana notes which are all carried on a silky smooth almond body. The acidity is present but takes a more complimentary role, bringing through and amplifying the juiciness.

Its a classic easy drinking Guatemalan, but definitely not boring. It's got loads going on for being a more accessible coffee. Plenty of depth, sweetness and delicate acidity that you can experiment with when brewing.

This espresso roast will taste excellent through any home or commercial machine, and will serve just as well black as it does with milk.

    The Producers

    The Producers

Sourced from our green coffee supplier Primavera, the Primavera Family lot was created from 10-15 producers in the Huehuetenango region. The quality of these lots were better suited to a balanced regional blend than to offer as single microlots, and sometimes the lots themselves are too small to stand alone as microlots.

The coffee was purchased to offer a wider range of quality, and producers can sell more of their coffee for a better price, enabling them to invest in their farms and wet mills.

Primavera are constantly working with their producers to help them improve the quality and productivity of their farms. Hoping that in the future they might be able to sell more of these lots as single farm coffees.

For this particular lot, they purchased and blended coffees of 84 and 85 points to create a regional blend with the classic, balanced Huehue profile.

This regional lot is unique, and each lot of Primavera Family blend has full transparency and is traceable to the farm level.

    • Wholesale

We are always looking to work with likeminded businesses to serve our coffee.

If you're interested in serving this locally roasted Edinburgh coffee as your main offering, a guest appearance or as bags of retail, get in touch with us on  roastery@machina-coffee.co.uk or call (0131) 656 9565.

    • Roasting Schedule

Your coffee will be roasted within 1-16 days of purchase, with a shelf life of 6 weeks (optimum serving point at 12-36 days old). We recommend letting this coffee rest for at least 12 days before using, in order to release excess gas which can impact the flavour of your cup.

If you would like your coffee fresh, please leave a note with your order and we will do our best to accommodate.
