    The Profile

    The Profile

Agri Evolve have once again delivered an exceptional Ugandan natural coffee. Bursting with vibrant orange acidity and luscious toffee sweetness, it features a subtle boozy hint reminiscent of Kirsch, layered with delicate notes of cherry.

Creamy milk chocolate and toffee notes further enhance its flavours, while its full-bodied profile and rich, jammy mouthfeel stay true to the hallmark of Ugandan coffee.

Whether enjoyed as an espresso or long black, this coffee truly shines, with the orange and Kirsch notes adding a touch of festive charm. For those who prefer milk, it transforms beautifully into a flat white, with the toffee notes creating a rich and indulgent experience.

    The Farmers

    The Farmers

Ibanda, a village nestled in the northern part of Kasese District, lies within one of the many valleys at the foothills of the Rwenzori Mountains. Agri Evolve has established a buying center here to support the farmers of Ibanda and neighboring hillside communities.

Most farmers in the area own between one and two acres of land, with coffee serving as their primary cash crop. Agri Evolve's Field Officers collaborate with farmer groups across the region, introducing good agricultural practices to enhance yields. During the harvest season, ripe, red coffee cherries are handpicked daily and brought to the Ibanda centre.

At the buying centre the cherries are weighed, evaluated for quality, and farmers are promptly paid in cash. The cherries are then transported to the Nyabirongo coffee station, where they are floated, graded, and sun-dried. To ensure even drying and optimal flavour development, the cherries are turned several times each day, allowing them to mature and achieve their rich, full-bodied taste.

    • Wholesale

We are always looking to work with likeminded businesses to serve our coffee.

If you're interested in serving this locally roasted Edinburgh coffee as your main offering, a guest appearance or as bags of retail, get in touch with us on roastery@machina-coffee.co.uk or call (0131) 656 9565.

    • Roasting Schedule

Your coffee will be roasted within 1-16 days of purchase, with a shelf life of 6 weeks (optimum serving point at 12-36 days old). We recommend letting this coffee rest for at least 12 days before using, in order to release excess gas which can impact the flavour of your cup.

If you would like your coffee fresh, please leave a note with your order and we will do our best to accommodate.
