About Profitec

Profitec is a division of ECM Manufacture, located in Heidelberg Germany. They have been producing high grade prosumer espresso machines since 1985. The company is extremely passionate about their craft and dedicated to producing exceptional products that are easy to use and produce amazing espresso in the home or office. They are still at a size that allows them to produce quantity at a level of quality associated with artisanal production.

Their products bridge the gap between the latest technology and state of the art German engineering. They are sleek, beautifully designed machines that are both aesthetically pleasing and highly functional. Further, they offer a range of customised parts that open up their range to suit your needs and style.

Machina became an official UK distributor of Profitec equipment in late 2021, with a view to expand the range of machines offered beyond just Rocket Espresso Milano. We see Profitec as the next stage of prosumer equipment to offer, as they are very focused on a smaller range of machines (quality over quantity), but with a wider price difference, with the PRO 400 machine selling at £1279+ through to the PRO800 at £2450

Profitec were only willing to work with Machina if we had our own technical department, to provide a professional level of service and support on their equipment, plus hold a full range of parts for the models we sell. This was a really important factor for us, as it demonstrated their dedication to their brand, and investment in us as an official UK partner.

Profitec have an amazing way of blending form and function, which is harder than it sounds. Consider how many brands play the "sleek" card, but when it comes down to it, they struggle to deliver in actual function. Profitec have taken a very sensible approach, by doing the important stuff first and doing it well, then housing their models in sleek minimal casings that don't cut corners.

You won't find an over allocation of lights and pointless features in any of their machines.  Instead, you will be well positioned and considered features and design side by side, which feels like they have really thought about the actual customer experience and not just the sales gimmicks.

We offer six Profitec models representing a fantastic range across price and features, all with very high grade productions at their core.

- The PRO 300 - a semi automatic dual boiler with a ring group head and PID for very accurate temperature control. You can turn off the steam boiler if you prefer to just make espresso. It has an insanely fast heat up time (like no other machine we have seen before). Sitting at £1350 it's the cheapest high quality dual boiler you will find, plus it's a UK exclusive with Machina. The perfect machine for espresso drinkers or those only brewing a small volume of coffee and want great control.

- The PRO 400 - an E61 Heat Exchanger with a very slick set of controls, all housed in a slimline / compact stainless steel case. Pre-infusion, three settings for brew temperature, large internal water reservoir and customisable facets for the steam and water knobs.  A serious machine for £1279.  The perfect machine for those wanting powerful steam and a compact machine, without breaking the bank.

- The PRO 600 - an E61 dual boiler with precision PID control at under £1849 (£650 cheaper than a Rocket R58). It offers a large 2.8L internal reservoir, pre-infusion, a very quiet vibration pump and a PID that when in use, doubles as a shot timer. The perfect dual boiler for those who don't need to plumb their machine in.

- The PRO 700 - an E61 dual boiler with precision PID control at under £2095 (£300 cheaper than a Rocket R58). Just like the 600, it offers a large 2.8L internal reservoir, pre-infusion and a PID that when in use, doubles as a shot timer. Perfect for those wanting dual boiler technology, but would prefer the luxury of a rotary pump and the option to plumb in if required.

- The PRO 700 DRIVE - an E61 dual boiler with precision PID & flow control. The machine with ALL the bells and whistles at £2399. Just like the 700, it offers a large 2.8L internal reservoir, pre-infusion and a PID that when in use, doubles as a shot timer. plus the luxury of a rotary pump and the option to plumb in if required. The DRIVE is the ultimate in dual boilers, with every feature you could ever want.  The machine for coffee aficionados who want the full package.

- The PRO 800 - an amazing take on a classic Lever machine. Complete with PID, fully saturated group head and ultra powerful single boiler. Sitting at £2450. The 800 mixes the slick German design that Profitec are known for, with the old school lever approach to coffee making that many coffee fans love.  Step aside La Pavoni, this is a big jump up in design and control.
