  • La Marzocco are a coffee brand that everyone recognises as both market leaders and innovators in the coffee industry. We have been long time admirers of their coffee machines ever since we began and officially became an approved La Marzocco reseller around 3 years ago.

Founded in 1927 by Giuseppe and Bruno Bambi, La Marzocco had its beginnings in Florence, Italy, birthplace of the Italian Renaissance and home to Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo and Brunelleschi, who created some of the world’s most celebrated works of art.

Here's a little background video about La Marzocco's history:

It’s only fitting that La Marzocco would earn a reputation for making beautiful and superbly crafted espresso machines with exquisite attention to detail. In 1939, it was La Marzocco that developed and patented the first coffee machine with a horizontal boiler, now an industry standard. This was the first of a series of innovations, later to include the dual-boiler system with saturated brewing groups.

A shared passion for tradition and the search for quality and superior reliability continue to distinguish the company. Even today, specialised personnel supervise each stage in the production of every single machine, handcrafted to order for our customers. In this way, Giuseppe Bambi’s great experience and professional pride live on after more than 80 years.

Today, La Marzocco continues to inspire and be instrumental to the craft and forward motion of the espresso industry.

  • They have an incredible range of home espresso machines; a product of their constant drive to innovate. This includes the following:

The La Marzocco Linea Mini is designed as the ultimate machine for the home barista. Consider it a commercial grade espresso machine for domestic use. Perfect for home, the office or mini event.
  • The La Marzocco Linea Classic (below left), which is arguably the most reliable workhorse statement machine there is in the industry. Tried and tested, and passed with full marks.

The La Marzocco Strada (below middle), which comes in a string of options, is the ultimate in commercial grade pressure profiling, offering unrivaled control over espresso shot manipulation.

The La Marzocco Linea PB (below right), which is the latest iteration of the original Linea, upgraded with quarter turn steam knobs, front facing LED controls for temp control, timed on / off features, auto cleaning cycles etc.

The La Marzocco Kb90; probably the best invention in their range to date. Think 21st century Linea PB, with front loading portafilters and a string of features designed to meet the high level of demand without compromise.

However despite their efforts to constantly innovate and move forward, they have a couple of coffee machines that have stood the test of time. The La Marzocco Linea Classic and now the Linea PB, both of which have become icons in our industry.

Yes their espresso machines push innovation, and yes they look amazing, but they also do what we think is most important. That is doing just a few things really well, and not spreading themselves too thin. You can buy much flashier machines, with loads of extra features and lights, but they tend to give you a headache and after time, you wonder why you bought it in the first place.

La Marzocco will provide you with the ultimate machine that will last you a life time, give you very little hassle, is very well supported and, should you ever wish to trade, will deliver you a very good resale value.

They have an engineers network called 'LM Connect' which has brought together the finest approved engineers across the country, giving us as resellers and you as customers, the support you would expect from such a high quality brand. No matter where you are located in the UK, there is an engineer not far form you that has been formally approved by La Marzocco to both install and service all their machines.

In Scotland, we are lucky enough to have one of the best engineering firms in the country (Caffeine Fix), who know La Marzocco machines inside out, so for Scottish based customers, you are very well catered for. Further afield, we have long-standing relationships with engineers in London, Leeds, Newcastle, Brighton, Birmingham, Bristol and numerous other locations.

As cafe owners, we know first hand how important it is to have a coffee machine that not only works well but does not give you ongoing problems. We tend to go for substance over style with equipment, but La Marzocco have managed to actually deliver both in the same package.

If you are considering buying a commercial espresso machine for your existing or new project, we cannot recommend them highly enough. You can buy cheaper, but you get what you pay for and buying at a very low price point will give you problems in the long run - believe us, we've been there.

As a business that is looking to sell great coffee, you need to recognise that you require great equipment if you are going to serve amazing coffee and be recognised as being serious about your craft. We urge you not to cut corners on what is, the most important item in your business.

All hail La Marzocco - true artisans and innovators.
