    The Profile

    The Profile

This coffee is one of three lots we selected from the TERRA farmers collective, which is a very unusual occurance, finding three separate lots of such incredible quality.

This double-fermented washed Java coffee from Terra perfectly showcases the unique characteristics of the Java variety, where a traditional varietal meets an innovative process. The two-stage fermentation process, which includes 24 hours of fermentation in water followed by a second fermentation after pulping, enhances the coffee’s complexity and depth.

The result is a cup bursting with bright lemon and sweet earthy notes, reminiscent of artisanal cola, with a refreshing herbaceous twist. A sweet, creamy almond note adds a smooth and silky mouthfeel, perfectly balancing the lively acidity. It's bright, complex and somewhat unusual - a must-try!

We recommend it served black or brewed with a V60.

    • Wholesale

We are always looking to work with likeminded businesses to serve our coffee.

If you're interested in serving this locally roasted Edinburgh coffee as your main offering, a guest appearance or as bags of retail, get in touch with us on roastery@machina-coffee.co.uk or call (0131) 656 9565.

    • Roasting Schedule

Your coffee will be roasted within 1-16 days of purchase, with a shelf life of 6 weeks (optimum serving point at 12-36 days old). We recommend letting this coffee rest for at least 12 days before using, in order to release excess gas which can impact the flavour of your cup.

If you would like your coffee fresh, please leave a note with your order and we will do our best to accommodate.
