About the Hario V60
The Hario V60 is arguably the oldest pour over method. There are now many alternative pour over brew methods, but the V60 has remained a popular choice.
It centres around a simple circular cone with ribbed edges and a sharp point at the bottom. The concept is that the filter inserted is washed through, and clings to the edges to support a clean brew and reduce channeling.
If done well, the V60 offers an intense and complex cup that is quite unique. If done badly, it channels easily and results in harsh, sharp flavours.
