Eureka is a brand we have long been associated with. Whilst they might not carry the same swagger and UK speciality coffee industry profile as the likes of Victoria Arduino or Mazzer, they sit quietly in the background doing their thing.

Hailing from the beautiful Italian city of Firenze, Eureka have been hand producing a fantastic range of coffee grinders for many years and continue to follow a model that has served them well.

They are responsible for a number of key things in the grinder industry which are nothing short of impressive. This includes:
  • Being responsible for the groundbreaking patented technology of their delicate micrometric regulation grind adjustment system, which you now see on many of the worlds best grinders.
  • Being responsible for the best home espresso grinder out there, the Mignon. Built like a tank, beating fancier models hands down.
  • Being responsible for many other brands grinders that are considered the best in the world for commercial businesses. This includes the Mythos One.

A little bit about our partnership:

We spoke to many suppliers when first setting up Machina when we were looking for a key partner all those years ago, but we chose Eureka for a number of important reasons. First and foremost, they are lovely people. We forged a long lasting relationship with their 'then' sales manager Boris Pianaccioli, who took us under his wing and helped us make one of the best decisions we ever made. Boris moved on, with the role being take up by Luca Nunzi, who by all accounts has taken on what Boris started and continued the great work.

It's been almost 8 years since we started working with them, and after a great meal in Milan during the HOST MILAN show 2 years back, we intend to visit their factory in 2020 and further our connection with what we feel is a very important brand in the history of coffee and coffee grinders.

A little bit about the Mignon:

There are many domestic espresso grinders out there, but few last the test of time. Many brands over complicate their productions, adding unnecessary features and losing focus over the key functions of what makes a good coffee grinder.  Eureka have seen past the noise, and continued to produce a grinder that is built in the same vein as a commercial unit (heavy weight, robust and minimal), combining useful and easy to use features - while retaining a sense of individuality and style.

A little bit about their range:

Eureka produce a fairly hefty range for grinders across domestic and commercial, but we do not sell them all. Solely because we want to offer you a curated range that we think covers what you need and allows us to have in depth knowledge of each individual product.  Here's the range we sell and a bit about each one.
