Clockwork is our signature speciality grade espresso blend.

Clockwork is our signature speciality grade espresso blend.

Clockwork is our long standing 'Speciality Blend', with a very balanced profile. It's our lightest blend, designed to be brighter and provide more complexity in the cup. Think milk chocolate, caramel and clean citrus.

It's a great all-rounder made up of two seasonal lots.

From Brazil, Cachoeiras, is a naturally processed coffee that gives Clockwork its body and creamy mouth-feel. This lot is our first ever direct source coffee, which we are exceptionally proud of.

We have paired this with a Colombian regional lot called El Carmen, a washed coffee of the Caturra and Colombia varietals. This coffee brings tangy sweetness to the blend, as well as giving it a layer of complexity to counter the body.

We brewed this on a La Marzocco Linea Classic, set to 96c - with a recipe of 17g IN / 36g OUT / 32 secs.

Farms: Cachoeiras (Brazil) & El Carmen (Colombia)

Varietal: 01. Catuaí, Mundo Novo, Acaia, Rubi, Catucai, Topazio | 02. Caturra & Colombia

    MASL: 900 & 1700-2100

Brewing Options: Espresso, Cafetiere, Stove Top (Moka Pot), Aeropress and Drip Machine (Moccamaster, Wilfa Classic etc)

    Roast: Espresso

Coffee Grade: 84+ on the SCA (Speciality Coffee Association) scale.

    • Description

Clockwork is our signature espresso blend. Created to offer a speciality grade blend to those needing a great all-rounder, it’s a versatile and easy to use coffee that can be served black or white in a range of brewing styles. It offers great body and sweetness, but also has a good level of acidity that is not overpowering. It's sits well as either a classic flat white, an old school moka pot or a Sunday cafetiere.

Clockwork is made up of two seasonal lots, sourced specifically for this blend.

From Brazil, Cachoeiras is a naturally processed coffee that gives Clockwork its body and creamy mouth-feel.

This is paired with a Colombian regional lot called El Carmen, a washed coffee of the Caturra and Colombia varietal. This coffee brings tangy sweetness to the blend, as well as giving it a layer of complexity to counter the body.

      --------

Your coffee will be roasted within 1-16 days of purchase, with a shelf life of 6 weeks (optimum serving point of 11-35 days).

Please bear in mind that espresso fresher than 12 days, is usually too fresh and will not taste good unless rested further, as it still contains too much gas and needs to open up. If you would rather have rested coffee, just put a note in the order and let us know and if we have rested stock we will send you that instead.
