    The Profile

    The Profile

Cauvery Peak is our first ever Indian coffee, and what a debut!

Easy to brew and even easier to drink, it’s a super reliable coffee with all-day-every-day appeal. Big on body, big on sweetness, with a hint of cherry that will keep you coming back for more.

This is the Espresso roast, best suited to (you guessed it) espresso, offering a richer body and accentuated sweetness that will hold up served black or with milk.

    The Producers

    The Producers

Cauvery Peak is grown in the Shevaroy region of India. The estate is headed up by Ramraj Ramesh, and has been in the family for over seventy years, making a name for themselves as pioneers of Indian specialty coffee.

Cauvery Peak is committed to ethical and sustainable working practices. The people who pick the coffee, usually women, are provided housing, fuel and transport to the farm. Children are encouraged to stay in school, incentivised with free education and school milk. The farm itself is UTZ certified, which strictly requires “good agricultural practices and farm management, safe and healthy working conditions, addressing child and forced labor, and protection of the environment” for certification.

India is fast becoming an emerging producer of specialty coffee, with Cauvery Peak producing some of the best in the country. This is a producer we are really proud to work with, and hope to work with for a long time.

    • Wholesale

We are always looking to work with likeminded businesses to serve our coffee.

If you're interested in serving this locally roasted Edinburgh coffee as your main offering, a guest appearance or as bags of retail, get in touch on either roastery@machina-coffee.co.uk or call us on 0131 656 9565

    • Roasting Schedule

Your coffee will be roasted within 1-16 days of purchase, with a shelf life of 6 weeks (optimum serving point at 12-36 days old). We recommend letting this coffee rest for at least 12 days before using, in order to release excess gas which can impact the flavour of your cup.

If you would like your coffee fresh, please leave a note with your order and we will do our best to accommodate.
